I bought a small sewing machine to start sewing again. My first project was new back cushions for my sofa. Easy enough. And I wanted an invisible zipper for said pillows. I bought a special foot for this task. Completely unnecessary. I was so frustrated and wondering what I did wrong because I kept sewing the VERY edge of the zipper. I watched the class, ironed everything, ironed the zipper from the tape, nothing happened. I still sewed every few inches along the edge of the zipper. Then I decided to try the REGULAR (plastic) zipper foot that came with my machine and it worked like clockwork. It is sewn close to the zipper without sewing the zipper. So save money and use a regular zipper foot.
