Great Product - Sewing

I bought the Coates Invisible Zipper for a project I was working on and didn't realize I needed a special zipper foot. I snapped up Revain immediately, found and bought this zipper foot. That helped. I used to be scared of sewing in zippers, but this is a lot easier than I expected. Just take your time, read the instructions and use this invisible zipper foot.

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • Almost never

Invisible zippers reinterpreted

I've been sewing for many years but never learned how to properly attach an invisible zipper. Thanks to the YouTube video, I felt more confident and realized I needed that special foot. game changer. I never want to do a regular zipper again! My first try was this floral dress I made for my honeymoon! The second dress was my actual wedding dress. Now I need some tips on making Velcro easier to hand sew!

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons
  • Good, but not perfect

Sturdy but takes practice

I'll be the first to admit I'm no sewer expert so installing an invisible zipper was new to me. This foot should make things easier and sew close to the zipper for a nicer finish. I had a hard time keeping the zipper in the right place and there were spots sewn into the prongs preventing it from working. I had to rip this part out and redo it. This finally gave me the "invisible" finish I wanted, but it took a few tries. That was probably due to my inexperience.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

how close do you get

This is the best zipper foot, I don't know why I waited so long to buy it! The one that came with my sewing machine wasn't really the biggest, it left a mile gap from stitch to zipper, just couldn't get really close to it. This zipper foot allows me to get right to the edge of the zipper teeth if I want to. The best part is that the foot doesn't wobble as there is only one place to connect to the feet unlike others that have a right and left side, no need to stop during the project, to change…

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Some small things

Just use a regular zipper foot.

I bought a small sewing machine to start sewing again. My first project was new back cushions for my sofa. Easy enough. And I wanted an invisible zipper for said pillows. I bought a special foot for this task. Completely unnecessary. I was so frustrated and wondering what I did wrong because I kept sewing the VERY edge of the zipper. I watched the class, ironed everything, ironed the zipper from the tape, nothing happened. I still sewed every few inches along the edge of the zipper. Then I…

Pros
  • Heavy finish
Cons
  • Damaged
