Door has magnetic closure to keep other pets out
I have been using these cat doors since the early 1990's. If you notice the plural on the doors, that's because I've moved a few times and never taken the doors with me (who wants to leave a hole in people's doors or wall?). These are the best. The cat carries a magnetic key fob and can open the door. The door can be locked at night so the little ones can't get out. When I try to start it, I leave the door locked for the cat to get in, but the cat inside can't get out. There are no batteries, no electricity, no microchips. A simple magnet will do.
