Ever since I was a kid it seems every 'manufacturer' magazine I've read has had caulking advice in almost every issue pressure pipes. I have seen and tried many of them. This device was worth trying and unfortunately it failed. I opened up a silicone tube for a project and used one of these caps to seal the end. It fit perfectly and appeared to be a good seal. Just two days later I removed the cap and the silicone inside the grommet set, and about an inch or so inside the tube set. Getting some more silicone out of this tube made a huge mess. So my attempt with this product failed. Back to my homemade craftsmanship, improved experience, the way to seal all kinds of sealing materials. My method works. (Remember that silicone has a shelf life after which it will not fully cure, even if never opened.)
