I dared and it was worth it! They look great with shiny metal cases and matching straps (some colors don't quite match, but are still pretty). To be honest, I've had more problems with the expensive ScanDisk and Lexar USB sticks than the "budget" brands. I prefer 4 USB sticks for the price of 1 "branded" drive, and in my experience if one doesn't work, the others usually do. I bought several USB sticks at a bargain price and only 2 out of about 50 failed. Of course, I encourage you to be smarter than thinking about storing extremely important data and/or running huge programs on just one drive.
