Soft and warm in my opinion.

This Balaclava Crusader is very soft! My 2 year old daughter doesn't like wearing anything on her head but this is the only winter hat she lets me wear. I love that it's soft, keeps her warm and she can't take it lightly so I don't have to argue with her about wearing a hat. I will definitely buy it next winter!

Pros

It protects well from the cold, but using it under a ski helmet can be a problem.
