Review on Babycakes Mini Cake Pop Maker by Aaron Johnson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Failed in Pop

I bought this product based on the Babycake reviews and I now have my doubts about those reviews. I can't believe I'm the only one with this problem when they bought the same product. To avoid having my experience flagged as "user error" I did some "pops" with a few different approaches and wasted good cake batter. The results were the same, the manufacturer never made a full bullet. ALL "bumps" came out flat on one side (top) because they didn't fill in the top of the maker to make a full ball. I've used a light amount, a heavier amount, an overall lighter batter, a heavier batter (I don't recommend trying this, follow the directions on the cake box) and nothing worked. Not only have I always gotten crescent balls, they are also very small. To put it better, they were only slightly larger than the dum-dum candy found in bank lobbies. It wasn't worth the time, effort and money put into this rubbish. I thought this maker would be easy to use and give me more time to work on other things. Instead, it cost me more than the car itself. At the end of the day, I had to buy cake pops for a Christmas party. Stay away from this machine and make cake pops the old fashioned way or buy them.
