Almost lit a fire!

Bought a lamp for my daughter who needed this lamp. I couldn't find this lightbulb in local stores! I went to Amazon and found this, but I bought it "used in new condition". When the lamp was turned on, it immediately started smoking and got insanely hot, almost catching fire. There was even no light for a total of 5 seconds. Creepy! Thank you for selling me the broken lightbulb.

Pros

LOW COST: Each chandelier bulb costs $3.01 per year when used 3 hours per day at $0.11 per kWh. These efficient GE bulbs (candelabra design) will not disappoint.
