Not without flaws.: Digital Cameras

If you are looking at this model you are probably looking for a bridge camera and have looked at various models of the 'old' SX60, Nikon P900, Sony 400V and FZ300. I didn't buy the P900 because I wanted RAW, and besides, Nikon was very big in comparison. Also, it's about $150 more expensive. Canon is too old and lacking in features. I don't even know anymore why I didn't want Sonya. In the end I was trying to decide between the FZ300 and the FZ80. If you don't want to read any further, I'll summarize that today I'd probably buy the FZ300 for $70 more. I chose the FZ80 because of the longer reach: 1200mm versus 600mm. I thought it would be a deal breaker but now I'm not so sure. Although 20mm is very good. So. I'm just writing the pros and cons. Pros: - Amazing reach at 1200mm. - 20mm is very useful. - Auto HDR is a great feature. - 4K (video and burst recording). - The camera can charge the battery, so you can easily take the USB cable with you when you travel. Even external battery charging. -4K support. -In camera editing. -Custom button. -Touch screen works well. -Great video. My phone. Cons: - Feels like cheap plastic. - The picture is soft. Especially on TV. - OIS is not that effective on TV. - Can hardly be used in low light. - Very noisy sensor. Even at ISO 80.-The dial is really bad. Difficult to scroll without pressing on it. -Button marks are removed after 2 weeks of use. -Poor d-pad design. -Stationary screen. (sensor missing). - Cannot zoom in panorama mode. Panorama shots in portrait format are not possible. - Noise from the camera can be heard in the video. I know. This is a budget model. Maybe 18MP is too much for a 1/2.3" sensor? I like the zoom but I feel like a Leica with fixed 2.8 and larger pixels performs much better. So not a bad camera, might but be better. The camera box wasn't factory sealed (by the Ritz) but it was new and untouched. There are no fingerprints on the camera. I'm happy with the Ritz. The set was great and the price was right. The UHS1 card works with 4K BTW, although the manual says you need 3.
