I also have an older model that has a larger circumference. I like this thinner model better because it takes up less space. Both are unfiltered, which is great. I've had the old model (from the same manufacturer) for seven years now. Bought for my living space in Afghanistan (dust, dust, more dust!). I hope this new, slimmer model will live up to its big brother's reputation. From the next salary I will order another one to replace the old one that ripped. The child fell. But it still works! So far I like the air purifiers from this company. you are tough
