Review on Philips SHE7000BK 28 Ear Headphones by Emily Wilson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

good, but better

I found the bass to be good and the treble to be clean and crisp. The cord is very long which would have given the headphones 3 1/2 stars if I could put them on. With a height of 1.80 m, most headphones do not have long enough cables. However, I don't like silicone ear tips. They're comfortable, but my problem with ALL headphones is that they get dirty easily. My headphones stuff in my pocket, in my laptop bag, jump over the car seat onto the floor, etc., etc. All the crap just sticks to the silicone. I'm a much bigger fan of hard plastic headphones like the Sony MDR-ED12LP, which I prefer. Good sound that may or may not match the quality of these Philips headphones but they are more durable. I usually use headphones when I'm active, so pristine sound quality isn't necessary. Given that and the fact that I seem to lose a headphone every 3 months, I'm more interested in practical headphones than ones that the sound engineer likes. Sony headphones meet these requirements better than Phillips. Result. If you don't mind silicone ear tips, these are good headphones and I don't think you can go wrong with them. However, for the way I use the headphones, they just didn't do it for me.
