good, but better

I found the bass to be good and the treble to be clean and crisp. The cord is very long which would have given the headphones 3 1/2 stars if I could put them on. With a height of 1.80 m, most headphones do not have long enough cables. However, I don't like silicone ear tips. They're comfortable, but my problem with ALL headphones is that they get dirty easily. My headphones stuff in my pocket, in my laptop bag, jump over the car seat onto the floor, etc., etc. All the crap just sticks to the…

An atavistic fear of anonymous, deep-breathing phone calls

Giving these in-ear headphones 4 or 5 stars is a dilemma. There are 3 sizes of ear canal adapters, which attracted me to this product because I want the smallest size and I'm not a music lover. These earbuds fit so well that they don't let through a lot of outside noise, but they do pick up the vibrations of the bones in my head. This is how I hear my own breath. This problem is not the "fault" of the headphones, nothing can be done about it. So it's probably not fair of me to berate the…

Not impressed - Headphones

I tested these Philips in-ear headphones with my iPhone and iPod. Let's start with the good.1. I liked that the product has three headphone sizes. It's nice to have a choice as one size doesn't fit all and they were very easy to swap out when changing size.2. The length of the cable was nice too - you never felt like you couldn't put your device down and feel the cable being tugged. And now it's not so good. 1. The earbuds are made of silicone. I placed one of the earbuds on a tissue while…

Very thin sound suitable for in-ear headphones

I've heard literally dozens of in-ear headphones over the years. Most of them have a generally similar sound, never as smooth and consistent as a good pair of over-ear headphones, but they have their place for easy travel. I mainly use my headphones with an iPod Nano (postage stamp size) or to watch movies on my smartphone, so music quality is important to me. Music on each until I find the one that sounds best to me. It invariably goes back to the ones that came with my iPod. They have their…
