Surprised How Much I Like It

My current mattress is nearing the end of its life and my husband and I are waking up with back pain. . . in part because of the effort it takes to break the rut. Yes, I've scrolled and scrolled, it's just so old. But when I shopped, I kept gasping at the price or the lack of comfort, or both. I just couldn't justify spending that amount on something I wouldn't (mostly) sleep on. When I saw this I figured it would work as a temporary fix until I find something. I have never used a foam mattress and never expected a mattress under $100 to perform so well. The mattress is packed in polyethylene and took about a day to inflate. There was no smell, which surprised me. It seems like everything from clothes to food now carries the smell of chemical plastic. I use this for bed slats, I don't have a box spring and didn't want to buy it as I didn't know if it was a steward. This makes my bed quite low and depending on the frame style you might not like the look. The first night I was not thrilled with this mattress. I found the edges to be soft and when my kids push against each other they roll/fall out. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it's the only time of day they're quiet, and a hard bang pulls them out of the silence. I feel like I don't notice my husband as much as I used to. . . but i feel it is hotter than my old mattress. For the price I think this mattress is great. It's not my dream mattress, but I haven't found it yet.
