I bought a 2003 Ford Focus zx5 for my daughter. Precise fit. The modular plug is fed through the hole and plugged directly into the socket inside. There is 1 thick 10mm that you need to unscrew - the rest are plastic latches/clips on the connectors. I didn't prefer to install this when the car was frozen and it was about 20 degrees outside, but my daughter is pregnant and the tape on the previous mirror wasn't cool. After screwing it and snapping it into place, I put the inner plastic in after I connected the modular link. Reinsert the control knob - works like a master - controls both left and right mirrors. (power mirror) So thank you for a great product. If not OEM, then an exact copy. As for durability, I don't know. But the problem has been solved - a dangling, vibrating wing mirror flapping in the wind due to broken plastic clips on the inside of the outer plastic moulding. At such a price it would be foolish not to buy this item from this seller. Revain Prime - I get my package in 2 days no matter what.
