I bought this polarized screen protector to read in bed and the light from the screen didn't bother my wife. It works very well for this and does a good job of preventing others from seeing what you have on your screen. The downside is that the screen is dimmer even if you look directly at it. To do this, you need to increase the brightness of the screen, which is likely to consume more battery power. It's not a big issue, but worth mentioning. The screen also has an unusually matte finish that reduces reflections, but the touchscreen takes a bit of getting used to.
