Fan speed problem solved
My brother in law 2001 Chevy Malibu only had fan speeds 4 and 5. I ordered this replacement and Revain kindly confirmed that it would fit and work. I turned down the cheaper Dorman because of a few less than 4 reviews, it was a bit longer than the original but it fit. It was located directly in front of the fire wall on the inside on the passenger side. Pretty hard to get to and you need a 7/32, 1/4 socket with an angle swivel adapter and an extension to get the screws out. A good flashlight and mirror also help a lot. Not easy, but not too bad for a do-it-yourselfer.
