I was able to install this gate within 30 minutes of opening the box. I spent more time collecting tools than actually installing them. Drill with a drill and a Phillips screwdriver. The gate is assembled in one piece so nothing needs to be assembled other than fixing it to the wall. He is well built and strong. I have a 74lb chocolate lab and was a little apprehensive at first but it has been running for over a week now with no issues. I installed it between the kitchen and living room. The "stay open" feature is very handy when I want the dog to have free access. The gate accommodates a width of 72 inches. My opening was 68 inches and the gate only tilts left and right as you can see in the photos. Once I've angled the gate, each side rotates and "snaps" so the gate doesn't move except for the door. After 10 months of using this product: fantastic. This has helped us a lot in keeping our chocolate lab in a confined space when needed as she tends to bite our two cats if left unchecked while we are away. It was easy to set up and has been stable ever since.
