My nephew has just turned 2 and this set is perfect for introducing him to Lego. First, the Firefighter theme itself was a huge hit. Since it was his first set, he really couldn't assemble the set himself, so I had to 'help', ie mostly built it for him. I mean he could help build the tree. so that made a difference. The lights and sounds were of course a big hit with this set and at the end of the day he enjoys taking the sirens off the truck and walking around with them. Building. Only the pieces he put together required coordination work. When we finished we put the set away and I think if we pull the set a few more times next time he comes he can learn to assemble the tree himself and eventually the rest of the pieces. TRUCK.
