For typical children's brands, my son wears a 3T, which is the smallest waist size. In their loosest fit, these pants are slim around the waist, slightly long at the crotch and slightly longer at the legs. I can shorten the length slightly but I hope the waist doesn't change in the next few weeks before he has to wear it. 4T would be very big if I had to go taller.
