Love the auto close feature. The flexibility to extend the gate to fit over my porch steps to keep the dogs from running out is great. It was a little tricky but not impossible to install the extra pieces by one person (I bought two extra 10" sections). Holding the pieces together when trying to tighten the racks would be easier if another pair of hands were used for that number of sections. because of the extra parts I had to install to get through the 72 inch hole. I've used a couple of screws sticking out of the concrete to temporarily ensure it stays in place if someone pushes it hard, but I need to find a better long-term solution. The rest of the materials seem solid. The flexibility to add detail is a plus, but with that flexibility comes a small stability issue. Should one be installed indoors it is recommended that the supplied cups be wall mounted rather than relying on tension alone. This is not an option for my porch. I've bought custom tension rods that allow for non-flat tension points and it's not really better, but it ensures they don't slide around like cups would if they were pinned to their walls. I wish they had some kind of tool tensioner to really get some solid tension. I used a screwdriver to press down on the outside bars and railing post of my porch so I could turn the idler a little more. The porch should last as long as we need it. It's definitely worth reassuring that our dogs don't run away when someone opens the front door, as has happened on several occasions.
