This was just what I needed for my gelding. He absolutely cannot pull his mane without sedatives and it was the perfect solution. He has a very thick mane (like a Shetland pony), a warmblood of 17.1 hands and the task took almost 1.5 hours. I made very small pieces at a time. At first he was scared, but very quickly realized that I wasn't pulling, then he relaxed and even enjoyed it. Can't comment on the durability of the blades yet, but to be honest even if I have to replace them every time it's cheaper than having him euthanized by the vet. Looks as good as a tight mane!
