I bought this 7 amp 12 volt charger to replace my old charger that stopped working and was connected to my 120+ Ah drain pump backup battery. I have to say that after my first use it is very nice. To test this I used it with several 12v 18ah batteries that I use in my 24v lawnmower. I think it upgraded my old battery which didn't seem to last very long on a charge. I also used it to change the batteries on my lawn mower that you see in the photos. One of the batteries is a few years old and the other I just bought from Revain. It seemed like the mower was still struggling to finish my lawn since I had only replaced one battery. I took this charger and let it work on them. Judging by yesterday's lawnmower test, the batteries have become more powerful. So here are my pros and cons. well lit and nice to see the volts and amps on the screen. Ease of installation. Supplied with two types of cables. The ring cables are supplied with a built in 10A fuse. The cable ties are very good. You have 7 levels. Safe to use. They look nice and feel solid. This is to wear out the light as I will be plugging it into my battery 24/7. One thing I noticed is the lack of a ground wire that my old charger had. Summary. I am very happy with this purchase. I've only had him for a few days. I'll see how well it works when I connect it to the battery. To update. 06/13/2020 I just connected my charger to the battery of my drain pump. See photo. I bought a new cable clamp with a built-in fuse. I set the charger to fast because my battery is 120 Ah. The only thing I would like is for the screen backlight to turn off after a while. Another thing that caught my eye is the dual pin charger. My previous charger was a 3 pin charger with a chassis ground screw. August 4, 2020 Still seems to be working fine. When I first plugged it in it took a while to charge my huge battery and now it says FULL and I'm assuming it's in maintenance mode. Still happy. I would like a three pin plug. It is plugged into a secure GCFI outlet.
