These zip lock bags are 4 mil thick (i.e. not flimsy) with a very good zip lock feature (i.e. it works), and perfect for many uses. I passed on three of the packs to my daughters (i.e. very convenient since they come in 5 packs of 100 each). Everyone was completely satisfied. A very good product and reasonably priced.Review Update (2 years later): Just tried to use a few of the bags and they would not seal (no matter what I tried). I then randomly picked another five bags from my remaining supply (which was extensive). And they would not seal either. I tried to seal them in many ways with no luck. So I asked my wife and daughters to also try and none of us could get them to seal. What a waste! Note: The bags were stored in a kitchen cabinet (not subject to variations in heat or cold). All in all we used about 20 of the 500 bags that I bought and now will throw out the remaining 480. Not a good deal at all. This product went from 5 star to 1 star very quickly.
