I wanted this spice rack to be on the top shelf of my kitchen cabinet. It fits, but the legs are so close to the front that it falls out with every movement. Lots of exercise. It's really designed for the kitchen countertop. This works in a closet if your tall cabinets are 12 inches deep. As for assembly, it's a chore. The bars simply slide over the metal bars. metal on metal. There are no roles. One of my rails bent so I had to rebend a very strong piece of metal. I'm agile and happy in that regard. They sent all the parts and pieces, plus a special screwdriver for the smallest head screw I've ever seen. Instructions are just pictures. A little more explanation could be. The only rule to put it together. Do not overtighten the outer screws. This will compress the posts and they will not slide easily. The shelves are of good quality and hold spice bottles well. I will use this shelf in another closet. I don't expect any problems but will update if I find anything else to worry about.
