Easy to assemble and durable, this spice rack holds many bottles. However, the bottles should be about the same size. Each seat must accommodate 2 McCormick mini tubs or 1 standard size bottle. My large bottle of public basil was even slightly taller and thicker than these and still fit. However, if the bottles are very large, like my onion and garlic powder, or oddly shaped, like our cheddar popcorn powder, they won't work. That was clear before the purchase and suited me. I wanted this spice rack to be on the top shelf of my kitchen cabinet. It fits, but the legs are so close to the front that it falls out with every movement. Lots of exercise. It's really designed for the kitchen countertop. This works in a closet if your tall cabinets are 12 inches deep. As for assembly, it's a chore. I chose this shelf over the bamboo shelf because I was afraid the bamboo boxes would fall off the rails as there seemed to be nothing to hold them. This spice rack has small screws that hold the drawers in place. I have to say I laughed as I assembled it and remembered the comments that I needed little elves because the screws were so small that they were difficult to fit into the holes.
