I recently received a Surface 3 laptop that only has (1) USB Type-C port and (1) USB 3.0 port. Sometimes I like to connect my laptop to my TV, so the lack of an HDMI port was a little disappointing, but that's the price of a thin and light laptop. Anyway, I mainly ordered this for the HDMI port, but thought SD slots would be nice as I have a GoPro and my wife has a camera and we always carry stuff. take with you on the go. All three USB 3.0 ports on this hub work great. There are no issues physically connecting to them and transfer speeds are fast (assuming you plug in a USB 3.0 device). , which was a relief as I've had issues with it on other devices in the past. The only thing I couldn't try is the USB-C charging port as I don't have such a charger. also very nice. This hub is built to last, which was surprising considering the low cost of the product. Overall I would definitely recommend buying this hub!
