Review on ๐Ÿ”‹ OzCharge RescueMate 750A Super Capacitor Jump Starter - 12V by Kyle Pickett

Probably the perfect start for most people.

So after the first jump just a few days after purchasing this product I can now honestly say this is a great thing. Found a completely dead battery on my Ford Ranger this morning. Completely dead. No light, no lock, nothing. Oh, and to add insult to injury, it was a beautiful 20 degree morning. I knew I wasn't going to get a trickle charge from the car battery in this situation, so I popped the hood of my Jeep, plugged in the OzCharge, and watched it charge almost instantly. How seriously fast. Faster than opening the hood. Walked over to the ranger, plugged in the OzCharge, gave it time to realize it was plugged in, hit run and saw it count down from 10 instantly. I then jumped to the ignition and as soon as I saw the light I turned the key. The truck started immediately! If I didn't have a second car on hand I know I could charge it via USB from any phone charger but as usual I was running late so was grateful for the instant charge. If I had to pick one criticism, I wish the buzzer telling you when to start the engine was louder. I used OzCharge on a very quiet morning and barely heard it. It was pretty obvious when to turn the key as the interior lights would come on etc. Overall this is a great product. I've tried half a dozen standard launchers and they either never charge when you need them, or they inevitably die and stop charging after a year or two. Lithium-ion jumpers are good for their size, but I don't trust their typically cheap design and don't like the idea of leaving a fully-charged lithium-ion battery pack in a hot car. With OzCharge, both of these problems are solved. Because of the technology and robust design, I expect it will find many more uses in the years to come.
