For the price, this microphone can't be beat. In fact, I bought two when they were on sale for $6. The sound quality is amazing, a huge improvement over my headset's built-in microphone. I used this for streaming and my subscribers noticed the change right away. However, it is VERY noisy, so you need to make sure you don't use it in noisy environments. Also, you need some distance. People could barely keep me warm if I pulled it right under the headset, but once I put it about a foot under the cord, or anywhere where my chest meets my stomach, the audio was loud and crystal clear. Extreme cable length. You can lean back in your chair and still have free space. This is both a blessing and a curse, which I will discuss below. The clip is NOT flexible, I was convinced of that the hard way. My mic cable is braided AND sealed so it's very thick and although it bent a bit to compensate, the plastic failed after a few weeks. My solution followed on the next line as that is my only complaint. When you use a USB headset, it becomes an extra cable running across your desk. Since the cable is very long, there are also a lot of them. What I ended up doing, especially after the plastic clip broke, was attaching the mic to the headset cable and then using small pieces of tape along the entire length of the headset cable to secure the mic cable. This helped a lot with sagging and also kept the very thin and long cable from getting tangled up with my other devices which I found very easy. There's really nothing to complain about with this microphone. Insane sound quality, will be LOTS in your room, and for less than $10. I don't understand all the negative reviews. I think some people expected the Blue Yeti to be under $10,000.
