Review on πŸ“Έ Optimized Camera Strap: Peak Design Leash (L-BL-3) by Floe Rankin

My favorite feature was removed from the original leash

I loved the first version of the Peak Design Leash but they removed my favorite feature: the ability to quickly switch between a single point and two point harness switch . This is because the adjustment buckle used to have a hole where you could attach another clip and you could take one end of the strap, unclip the clip from the base of the camera and attach it to the other strap. This feature was just amazing. because it made Leash the perfect companion for Peak Design Capture's own clips. The single point attachment means the strap doesn't interfere with attaching the camera to the capture clip and acts as a backup in case you don't fully insert the camera into the clip and drop it. Idea why they removed this feature. It's literally a small hole in the buckle. Previously, they were specifically advertised by showing models with a strap in a single point configuration in the images. Maybe a single point broke and caused problems for people? The new quick adjust straps are pretty good.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
