This is the perfect size for what I wanted - storing card decks, dice and dice games - but I haven't read that product details vary widely. It's a screw cap which isn't very ergonomic with the way you hold it. Cannot even be opened with one hand. If you keep it on a smooth surface, you'll need rubber feet, otherwise it will slip every time you walk by. Glass was needed for the extra weight so they could be used as bookends, but even without the rubber feet they slide under the weight of the books. I'll put them in the box and see if I can find the best way to unscrew the lid.
