I had a 12V DC ceiling light failure in my solar cabin. Most of the lighting is powered by 12VDC to improve efficiency. I ordered this 5" Facon RV 12V DC surface mount indoor lighting LED panel to replace a blown bulb. This is about the same brightness as the bulb it replaced and it's a nice soft white ( not the harsh bluish glow of many incandescent bulbs). Once installed, it is difficult to disassemble. This is a minor issue for me as I have no intention of ever taking it apart again. I do notice that other reviewers have noticed light leaks around the base The lamp I received has an extra collar around the base which solves this problem Overall I like the lamp and am happy with the purchase.
