While I don't tend to hear high bass all the time and prefer balanced sound in headphones, I would say that these headphones don't offer balanced sound as they lack bass. I have a lot of headphones and wanted something more compact (instead of the Bose Quitecomfort) and more casual (instead of the Bose Soundport). The sound is nice but again lacks bass and that heavy deep sound that rocks your body with acoustic tunes. Overall these aren't bad headphones, I like wearing them to take calls but unfortunately I don't find the sound to be very balanced.
