After looking at (and returning) other similar products I really liked this one. It has a very strong construction - made of metal, which is strong enough to withstand a significant load if you attach it with screws that go into the studs. The 4 broomsticks are well designed, making it easy to insert and remove the broomsticks while holding the handles to prevent them from falling. Only time will tell if they hold up, but I see no reason why not. One of the really strong points of this design is that the mounting holes in the back plate are 16" apart, meaning you can tuck the broom holder behind the wall plate, making for a really solid mount that will last for years. Push and pull broom. If you simply attach a broom holder to the drywall, the push-pull action will eventually pull out any plastic wall anchors, leaving you with a messy repair job. So why did I give this product 4 stars instead of 5? ? Two questions: 1) In my opinion the supplied mounting screws are too short to really hook the studs through the drywall. I replaced them with longer screws to make the connection stronger. This is easy to do, but it would be easier for the supplier to supply longer screws. 2) There were no installation instructions included in the box I received. This is an easy installation product for those who are familiar with basic home maintenance and understand how timber frame homes are built. But if you don't have this understanding, some instructions can help you. The instructions may also describe the metal ties and caps that come with screws and anchors. In any case, I am mostly satisfied with the product and look forward to many years of use. I recommend you consider buying this product.
