My 5 year old is 3ft 6" (42") tall and weighs 38 pounds. Size 4/5 fits perfectly. The material is medium weight and not flimsy. I expect it will hold up well as long as it is hand washed and dried as instructed. The material of the tutu is very hard, so it will hold up a bit, but phew. Of course not as fluffy as in the photo, but still very cute. I would recommend taking the same size as the clothes. My daughter lived in this pack for almost a week after school. I had to bribe her to take it off and wash it. I would highly recommend this tutu to anyone who loves being a princess or a ballerina, in my case she loves both!
