Review on Emerald Helena Velvet Small Round Ottoman by New Pacific Direct - Ottomans & Cubes by Tara Ford

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Nice when there are no flaws

My first experience with this stool: 1 of the holes in the stool is deformed and the legs (tried everything) did not go in. This is a metal vessel and the top wasn't drilled properly and the screws in the legs didn't go in at all. Revain to the rescue, send me a new one. It came, I drew my legs up with ease. However, in the center of the stool is a closed 3 inch diameter button and you can see the outline of the screw head under the material. It must not be screwed in deep enough. I don't see it in the original ottoman. This means that this material will wear away with sitting or over time with wear and tear on the screw head and it's annoying to see. So, 2 ottomans, 2 questions. If you get the perfect one you will be happy with it, it's a fairly small ottoman and weighs next to nothing so you can move around very easily. Some of the material is due to the fact that it is velvet velor that tangles pile. Can't fix it either, was well packaged. It weighs almost nothing. When you get the perfect one, it's an attractive ottoman. The cat loves it. But since I received 2, both of which had design flaws, I'm giving 2 stars "didn't like it very much". For the price of this fabric wrapped plastic drum (it's VERY light) it should be perfect. (i.e. if it cost $40 it would get 3 stars, but it costs over $100 (or was) and its quality needs better review.
