I used these as chair decorations in my turtle classroom. My students had just pulled their chair out from under the table and one of the strings snapped. Two grenades crashed in the first 30 seconds of class! They were just as upset as I was. Finally, I attached an elastic thread to the foam body. After that they seemed to be holding up well. The foam turtle shell is a nice soft foam and the braces seem to be holding up well.
