Review on Western Digital WD Green SATA 240 GB SATA WDS240G2G0A Solid State Drive by Aneta Szmit ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best thing I've ever used, a great item for everyone!

It should come as no surprise that this solid-state drive (SSD) is part of the "set it and forget it" series; nevertheless, there are variations of the drive in blue, red, and other colors available for users who perform jobs that are more demanding. They will be quicker while also being more dependable. Nevertheless, if all you want to do is breathe new life into an old laptop or desktop computer without spending a lot of money on it, this is all you need. Let's see how it develops from here, I just configured AHCI in the BIOS, installed the official software from wd, configured trim there, and that's it; I use it, and I'm delighted with it)

Pros
  • I decided to get an SSD for my Acer Aspire laptop rather than a hard disk drive with 320 gigabytes from the same manufacturer, Western Digital blue. Having used a solid state machine for the first time, of course heaven and earth, rocked an old laptop, and now it is much more enjoyable to use + 8 gigabytes of RAM rather than 2 gigabytes of RAM. I watched a lot of comparisons of counterparts from gigabytes, Samsung, and other companies, but I still stopped at WD since I have been using them my whole life, and they have never let me down with their performance at work. Although it is possible to save money by simply using an older computer, I would recommend spending the extra cash on something more modern. For the purposes of working in text documents and browsing the web using a browser, the solid state totally exceeded its expectations; it functions properly; everything loads swiftly; and that is it. I didn’t bother with tests, and a lot depends on the processor, RAM, motherboard and the ability of the sata connector, I’ll say that through the wd program, the solid state works at half strength due to a bad sata connector on my laptop.
