I recently bought a Surface 3 laptop and it seemed like a good alternative to the rather expensive MS Pencil. The accompanying documentation says they are licensed by Microsoft to make pens for the Surface line of products, so I can only assume that means they are made to similar specifications. This easily connects to a laptop and works well with a touchscreen. The button at the end of the pencil responds as configured in the Pen and Windows Ink settings. The two buttons on the stem don't seem to do anything, but it could be something special for a Surface tablet rather than a laptop. Since the pencil seems to do the same thing as the OEM pencil, I won't put asterisks. It should be noted that the charging cable appears to be proprietary, so you're out of luck if you lose it. I hope you can get replacement cables from Uogic.
