Bought for plumbing with 10 bulbs. They work well and are a good price. For a medium sized bathroom ten is too bright and I ended up changing the fixture to eight bulbs (not for that reason) and they're still pretty bright. They're dimmable and a dimmer switch might be a good idea. However, they are fairly efficient and you probably won't recoup the cost of a good dimmer in energy savings. Over the years I've gone from incandescent bulbs to fluorescent spheres. Lightbulbs are hot and expensive to run. CFLs do not perform well in an environment where they are used for a short period of time and then turned off, and where this occurs regularly. CFLs don't last as long as incandescent bulbs. These LEDs are the best solution of all. They're bright, cool, energy efficient and meant to last. I've only had them for seven months so it's probably too early to tell how well they work long term, but if I run into any issues I'll update this review.
