BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!

These arrived within 1 day of buying them with revain Prime, so that was already a great surprise. Also well packaged - the three pack is shrink-wrapped to minimize bumping of corners etc. in transit.I'm brand new to the whole traveler's notebook world so I will say upfront that I don't have much to compare these too. I don't own a Midori or Midori paper at the moment. However, the paper - which is a soft cream color and has a very pleasant texture to the touch - seems to be at least somewhat resistant to bleeding/ghosting. I tried writing something with a Papermate Flair pen and there was barely any discernible sign of it on the reverse - and this is me standing under an large overhead light. Also, for anyone who - like me - is averse to strong smells, I was happy to find absolutely NONE on this product (both in shrink-wrap and once wrapping was removed). By contrast, I bought a slip-in card insert from Webster's Pages that reeked so profoundly of toxic chemicals that I banished it to the garage for a few days before I was able to use it.All in all I would say that this is exceptionally good value for money at a hair under $3 per notebook. I would love to see this company make some with white paper as well, or maybe a sketchbook version with thicker paper. I think that, especially for people who are just trying out the whole concept of traveler's notebooks, it's an excellent product. We'll see how it hold up to daily use!

Pros
  • Item came quickly as promised. I will work well, good value
Cons
  • The paper may be too thin, making it prone to tearing and bleeding of ink
