I bought these to replace another portable electric lunch box. The other kept things REALLY hot for 30 minutes, but with almost daily use Monday through Friday, that only lasted 10 months. I decided to try something else and see if it lasted longer so I settled on this one. I work on the go all day so I love the idea of going beyond sandwiches or shopping for lunch to get a hot meal. I liked that this one was more compact without wasting food space and that it has a food insert that makes cleaning MUCH easier than my previous one. But even after being plugged in my car for 2 hours, the food in it barely got warm. I've tried this with and without the top flask sealed, and in any case, my "hot" lunch is hardly what defeats the whole purpose of all of this combined. I'm going to return this and go back to the drawing board or get a new one from the last ones I had as I've had hot meals with them for at least 10 months, which is a lot more than I can say about it. in less than 1 month.
