Review on Enhanced SEO: Hotstart Kim TPS101GT10 Coolant Heater Series - 1000W, 120V by Marco Cervantes

Replaced by Onan Generator

Our previous heater failed on an Onan Generator. This is typical as most parking heaters on the market will overheat and burn out prematurely. We bought this one because of the 20 degree difference compared to most others. Other heaters heat up to 140 degrees Fahrenheit, which is roughly the temperature of the coolant when the engine is running. You don't need to turn on the heater at this temperature to heat the coolant, which puts extra pressure on the hoses. Not to mention the constant load on the thermal sensors on the cylinder block. This unit runs colder than twenty degrees, keeping the coolant warm but not HOT. It doesn't take as much power to heat the coolant unless you're in persistent severe cold. I really hope it doesn't blow out prematurely within a year like most of them. Replaced in November, so far so good.
