Review on Stylish and Functional Crystal Ceiling Fan with Light and Remote โ€“ ๐Ÿ”ฎ Chandelier Fan with Retractable Blades and LED Lights for Bedroom and Living Room Dรฉcor by Tami Francis

Difficult to install, non standard US bracket and returned/obviously damaged

This ceiling fan looks good but definitely has a few flaws.1. Arrived with rattles and loose items at bottom of box including open packets. There were no replacement crystals mentioned in the instructions. Screws and other loose items - obviously the item was returned, untested and sent back as new to another buyer - not acceptable.2. The instructions for the mounting bracket state that it must be installed on a cement or wood roof (not typical in the US). The screw holes in the bracket are wider than the standard ceiling fan socket, so you need to use another method to use the bracket. I was able to use a piece of steel, cut new holes for the exhaust box bolts and additional holes on the outsides to mount the ceiling fan bracket. You'll also need to use their mount, as the cover that covers the outlet is attached to screws that protrude from the bottom of the mount. Overall it took another 1 1/2 hours to find a solution which may not be possible for someone unfamiliar with fan installation.3. Turning the fan on and off will randomly change its warm/light color. One time it turns on so warm, another time so bright, etc. It doesn't seem to matter which light color, if you turn it off earlier, it will change randomly.4. I have sent an email to customer service asking for the crystals to be replaced with damaged ones and explaining why they have not been tested but have not received a response yet. Hopefully they can send me replacement crystals and hooks that a previous customer who returned this fan was missing (likely when realizing the mounting bracket isn't rated for a standard US outlet). Stick with a famous brand fan that is not made in China. from your local hardware store the instructions are most likely legible (which they actually weren't) and the quality will be much better. If my wife hadn't insisted that I fit this "chandelier" fan it would certainly have been returned quickly with no messing around with making a part for the bracket etc. Hope that helps!
