Review on ⏰ Black Marathon Digital Atomic Alarm Clock with Heat and Comfort Index Features - Push-Button Backlight, Indoor Temperature, Calendar/Ideal for Bedside, Desk, Hotel Use - Batteries Included by Jessica Coronado

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great compact atomic clock.

I really like this watch for the following reasons: SHARPNESS: The display of this watch is very clear. The contrast between the numbers and the background of the display is excellent. I have no problem reading the clock in average room lighting. VIEWING ANGLE: All LED displays are viewing angle sensitive. Compared to other watches I've seen, I would rate the viewing angle of this watch as excellent. However, this watch lacks an adjustable stand that allows you to change the angle of the display. TIME UPDATE: The watch is successfully updating the time using the WWVB signal from Fort Collins, Colorado. But in order for the clock to receive a signal, I need to take it out of the closet it's in and put it near the window. ALARM: The alarm starts with single beeps and then progresses to multiple beeps. It's loud enough for many people. But if you're a very heavy sleeper, don't expect the volume to be loud enough to wake you up. LIGHT: It has an amber interior light. It lights up for a few seconds when you press the top of the watch. The light can't stay on all the time. POWER SUPPLY: This clock operates on two (2) AA batteries (batteries included). There is no way to plug it into an outlet. FEATURES: This clock displays hours, minutes, seconds, month, date, day, temperature and humidity. It also has a switch on the face of the watch that lets you choose between showing "Warm Index" and "Comfort Index". Some may find this feature useful. I find it completely useless. TIME ZONES: In addition to the Pacific, Mountain, Central and Eastern time zones, this watch adds the Atlantic and Newfoundland time zones. It also allows you to offset times for regions outside of North America. FINAL THOUGHTS: I have a Quigo brand watch similar to this one (see attached photo). As you can see, the Quigo's display isn't that clear and legible. And the viewing angle isn't that great. But to be honest, I paid half as much for the Quigo as I did for the Marathon. However, I don't regret spending the extra money for Marathon's excellent readability.
