I ordered 2 of these WiFi addressable RGB strips and 2 packs of Govee WiFi RGBWW bulbs. All 4 products fail to connect to Govee Home App for more than a few seconds. Wi-Fi Strips are said to work on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi but require Bluetooth to work. The products appear to require the Govee Home app to be open and connected to your devices for Alexa to recognize them as activated. The products look great. This is undeniable. And honestly I would give 4 stars even if the Alexa functionality was crap. If it came with a remote control, that is. But given that the RGB strips AND the RGBWW bulbs didn't come with a remote control. I have to give 1 star. This is an unsuitable product. I work with smart products and professionally install private/commercial networks. I have modern equipment. Nothing stays on a stable connection. It cannot be used in its current state as it simply won't connect to Govee Home for more than a few seconds. If you're willing to risk them not working for you, buy them. Because they look great. But the fact that I can't use them for their intended purpose is an absolute obstacle for me. Govi, fix your software. And remove "WiFi" ads from your products that need to work with Bluetooth.
