As the need for video conferencing has skyrocketed there seems to be a real shortage of decent cameras. I have used other eMeet products in the past and was very happy with them and when I saw this one I had to try it. For testing, I tried it on a mini Mac running OSX 10.15.5, a Dell desktop running Windows 10, and a Dell laptop running Ubuntu 20.04. My observations are: Pros: * The built-in speakers sound great and are perfect for computers with no speakers available. * Built-in speakers are also convenient for listening to music or YouTube. * Easily recognized by a computer with no need to install software or drivers. . * Works well with Microsoft Teams, Google Hangouts, WebEx, Zoom and Skype. * Comes with a high quality bag for storage and transportation. Cons: * While other participants in the video conference point out the microphone's good audio quality, the microphone does not work on the two Ubuntu machines I tested. * Picture quality is clear but colors are cold and washed out. Recommendations: I think this is a great device for both Windows and Mac systems and the built in speakers are an added bonus. .Notes: The third image shows the eMeet C980 Pro next to the previous eMeet C960 HD. However, there is something more that seems to be due to the built-in speakers. Update: After a lot of research and digging, it turned out that the microphone issue in Ubuntu is actually a bug in the Linux version of Microsoft Teams. Microsoft confirmed the bug, but didn't provide a timeline for fixing it.
