Review on Grey Collapsible Laundry Hamper with Magnetic Lid - Household Essentials 5620 by Jody Hatfield

Not the smartest solution

Depending on what you're looking for, this might suit you. But I find it silly. It's hard cardboard or maybe very thin wood underneath the material, so yes it will hold its shape. But there's no way it's going to be as durable as a hard plastic urn. The bottom is made from a very thin acrylic material, attached with diagonal zips to maintain the basket's shape and prevent clothes from falling out of the bottom. Pretty funny. I keep mine next to my cars so I don't have to carry a full one, but it's still weird. The lining is a material that can be wiped clean or (hopefully) sprayed with Lysol as needed. But not removable. I have dirty smelly sons, not sure if that would be wise for their clothes! I already regret choosing form over function. And I see, as does the other reviewer, that the material that is crumpled in the front looks ugly. Also, the lid doesn't stand up on its own when the bin is leaning against the wall, meaning I have to either hold the lid up to reach my clothes with one hand, move the bin in circles, or take the lid off. It's just all pretty annoying. However, in my laundry room, it looks better than short, rectangular, open-topped plastic buckets showing dirty clothes.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Sad packaging
