Need new cable for my surround speakers but didn't need that much so I wanted to save a few bucks and decided to do it in a 50 foot spool rather than a 100 foot to buy coil. a pure copper coil from Mediabridge (currently connected to my other speakers). Both should be 16 gauge, but the Cable Matters cable is slightly smaller, almost like 18 gauge, and has fewer actual wires than the Mediabridge product. . Cable Matters are also much stiffer and seem cheaper than Mediabridge, which is easier to work with and easier to cut. Thankfully the runs aren't long so I doubt I'll lose in sound quality, it's still pure copper but having seen both products up close I'd happily shell out the extra $15 (as of May 8th).
