I have thin and weak eyelashes. I've tried many eyelash curlers. This is my first heated iron. Batteries are included. Batteries are easy to inert. You flip the switch and the curlers heat up. I was comfortable with that. There was no intrusion. No burn. I didn't even feel warmth around my eyes. I was worried that I would, but no. My eyelashes fit well in curlers. I pulled the trigger and paused for a moment. Came out. He had perfectly curled eyelashes. Be sure to follow what they say and apply mascara AFTER you curl your lashes. Make sure you have the curl you want. I do not advise going back to another curl after applying mascara. The mascara may melt the mascara and the mascara will stick to the rubber pad of the curling iron and stick and you can pull out the lashes. I've never seen curling results like this with an eyelash curler. I doubted, but no more. I like how it runs on batteries. I appreciate portable products, but I don't have enough space to plug things in for charging or forget to charge them. Five stars for ease of use, battery life, and perfectly curled lashes for those who never get a good curl. If this works for my fragile, thin lashes, imagine what it would do for someone blessed with luscious lashes!
