So far I like the mesh. I've been using it for several hours over several days and I can say that it keeps flies and mosquitoes away very well. My only complaint is that the grille is very good, but it also does its job quite well. blocks the breeze, which means it can get very hot in a mesh-topped hammock. It might be better for cooler climates, but I find I need a little more air circulating overhead in the hot Texan summer air. Lying in it is a bit stuffy, like a personal sauna. I'll try another brand to see if they combine insect repellent with airflow better and stick with whichever I like better. Another note: My hammock is suspended between two trees that may be 10-11 feet apart and hangs a little low off the ground, meaning the mosquito net bag is completely on the ground, in case that worries you.
